Creating Relvaflor brand was primarily an exercise of reaching a mental state of 100% environmental friendliness: go green, think green, act green!

We wanted to create something that was a reflection of the ecological and sustainable mindset that is an integral part of the business - Gardening and Environmental Consultancy. After having a logo we sowed some grass in little vases around the office that had, literally, flourished Relvaflor´s logo. The expression “conceiving a logo” makes a lot of sense now!

When we started the application of the brand into the communication materials we wanted to have the company spirit reflected on it. Organic and recyclable was mandatory but we wanted to go further. We wanted that each card or pencil became a piece of nature as well. A piece of a garden.

After some research we found the supplier we needed and, today, Relvaflor´s pencils and business cards can be placed in the soil and from them we can grow fresh herbs, little vegetables or even flowers.

What are they made from?
In the pencils case, the body of the pencil is made out of FSC certified wood, which means that for every tree that is chopped down another one is planted. Inside the capsule are high quality, non-genetically modified seeds. The pencil is soluble with water making it easy to plant after the usage.

How to plant?
When a pencil is to short to write with, you just need to place it the soil and water it on a daily basis. After 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the type of seed, it will sprout. They can grow inside and outside. In the business cards case, the process is exactly the same.
